Exact KKT certificate at the compression; Moebius rigidity
Status: proved — a complete structured proof.

Statement
For a fixed self-adjoint TRACE-CLASS t on h_I (Thm. thm:kkt is stated for trace-class t, rigor/sdp_dual_certificate.tex:176): in the continuum V_c: h_D -> h_B is unitary, both LMIs are active, and the multipliers are unique: Sigma_1 = t_DA Q_AB V_c - t_DD V_c*(1-Q_BB)V_c, Sigma_2 = Sigma_1 + t_DD; the compression maximises Tr(t Q_rec) over F iff Sigma_1 = Sigma_1* >= 0 and Sigma_1 + t_DD >= 0 (Thm. thm:kkt; necessary and sufficient, no constraint qualification). Legendre reduction (Lemma lem:offdiag): V(t) = ||P^perp t P||^2, and Tr(t delta_c) depends on t only through N = P^perp t P. Moebius rigidity (Lemma lem:rigid): the DD block of the first-order compression defect vanishes, E_D ddelta E_D = [p, d] = 0 (the Moebius generator commutes with P and is local), hence E_D u E_D is purely anti-self-adjoint (Cor. cor:maximal), u the Riesz vector of the compression direction. At leading order in s (t = s tau, tau fixed; Lemma lem:sigma0, Prop. prop:split) the certificate is equivalent to (S) E_D N E_D self-adjoint together with (P) -E_D tau_{++} E_D <= E_D N E_D <= -E_D tau_{--} E_D, and for the compression's test operator (S) is the self-adjointness of E_D u E_D, i.e. (S) holds iff E_D u E_D = 0 (Thm. thm:obstruction, Cor. cor:maximal). PROVED consequence, the 'only if' half at leading order in s: a certificate at t_c requires E_D u E_D = 0. NOT PROVED, the 'if' half (E_D u E_D = 0 => a certificate at t_c exists): it needs (P) to be satisfiable, which Cor. cor:Pfree shows only for bounded E_D N E_D (in general kappa must be unbounded, t is then not trace class, and the regularisation is not pursued: verdict gap :450-459 and Verdict gap (iv) :956-958), and cor:Pfree changes the P-diagonal blocks of t, so it certifies a modified t with the same N, not t_c itself. Cor. cor:test applies thm:kkt to the SLD t_c without showing that t_c is trace class. Whether E_D u E_D = 0 is not decided here: numerically ||E_D u E_D||_2^2/||u||_2^2 = 0.0143 != 0 (S10 N1, eq:thetalb; card compression-not-second-order-minimiser), so, numerically and not by proof, the certificate fails at the compression.
